| | | | | | | Dear Sony Sen,
You've just received an eCheque payment through PayPal.
eCheques can take up to nine working days to be cleared by the buyer's bank. Just like a regular cheque, once cleared, the money will appear in your PayPal account. Because it's not immediate, you should only send the item to the buyer after you've confirmed that the payment has completed. | | | | | | | | | | PayPal's eCheque feature is just like having the buyer write you a physical cheque - only it's sent to you electronically. When a buyer chooses to pay you via eCheque, the money is transferred directly from their bank account to your PayPal account. Like a regular cheque, it takes time for eCheques to clear with the buyer's bank. | | | | | | | | | eCheques often occur because a buyer's backup card has expired. We've sent your buyer an email to let them know that it'll take up to nine working days for their payment to complete. It's still a good idea to contact your buyer directly and let them know that you'll be posting the item as soon as the payment completes. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | STEP 1: Communicate to your buyer | | | Contact your buyer and let them know that you've received an eCheque and that you'll be posting the item as soon as the payment completes. Your buyer may be surprised to learn they've paid by eCheque, so feel free to explain that this happens often when a card has expired. | | | | | | STEP 2: Confirm payment has completed | | | Check your PayPal account in around nine working days and confirm that the payment has completed. You can do this by looking for "Completed" under the Status column for the payment you've received. | | | | | | STEP 3: Send the item | | | Post the item to your buyer once you've confirmed that the payment has completed. | | | | | | Happy selling, The PayPal Asia Team | | | | | | | | | | | Click here to see ways PayPal protects you and keeps your transactions secure. | | | | | | |
