It may seem so... this weekend, Nigel de Jong (picture above) broke Hatem Ben Arfa's leg and didn't even get a yellow card. Remember, this same Nigel De Jong had kicked Xavi Alonso in the chest during the World Cup final. Such stories and such injuries are a bit too recurrent these days. Referees should perhap's be more severe, don't you think?  News Time for the Results of BeterZ Big Beginning of Season Challenge! And the winner is... As our global reach is growing, so is our footprint. Later this year OpenDNS will add a new datacenter in Singapore to better serve our customers in the Pacific Rim! Since OpenDNS is anycasted, the new datacenter means faster DNS resolution and an overall faster Internet for OpenDNS users in Asia. If this is where you live, no changes on your end are needed to get the faster DNS resolution — your DNS requests will automatically begin routing through the new servers. How-To: Use OpenDNS Stats to Your Advantage Last month we showed you how to enable stats for your network. Here's what you can do with them: If you notice that there's still traffic to domains you've blocked, you can use that information to have a chat with your family about different types of Web content online, and why not all of it is accessible. And if you see content in your top domains that's not blocked — but you'd like it to be — you can easily add it to your blacklist by heading to Settings and then choosing the Web Content Filtering option. October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month Every year, the U.S. government proclaims October National Cyber Security Awareness Month. You're already doing one of the best things you can to protect yourself online — using OpenDNS for a safer Internet. That said, there are many ways you can ensure your safety online. Phishtank Update: Watch Out for Online Games More than 215 million people signed into a Zynga game last month and there's a good chance you, or someone in your family is one of them! Zynga's success makes it a target for Internet bad guys, and we've recently seen an increasingly number of phishing attempts based on Zynga games in PhishTank, the free community website we run where anyone can submit, verify, track and share phishing data. OpenDNS users are protected from these phishing attacks, but it's always a good idea to double check any site you are signing into for tell-tale signs of a phish — a fake or forged URL and poor resolution graphics. Customer Spotlight: Dogfish Head Brewery Dogfish Head is a Delaware-based commercial brewery and brewpub, and currently produces 20 styles of beer and a half-dozen different hand-crafted spirits. Though Dogfish Head has been brewing beer since 1995, they only recently decided to implement a Web content filtering solution. Information Technology Manager Trey Bowden had used OpenDNS Basic at home, so he knew deploying it across Dogfish Head's two locations was the perfect solution. Once Bowden set up OpenDNS, he and other employees saw a noticeable improvement in Internet speed at both locations. Faster and safer Internet? That's something everyone can say "cheers!" to.
