You surfbar counter is NOT the official count for pages surfed. Verification pages and prize pages do not count toward your actual surf total. The official surf count can be found on your Tools page under "Contest Stats". This is reset at midnight at the start of every contest and runs until that contest is over. Thank you for attention in this matter.
